SAERIA Introduction

　　The Silkroad Agricultural Education and Research Innovation Alliance, shortened as SAERIA, is a non-governmental, non-profit, open and international multilateral cooperation platform voluntarily joined by agriculture universities, institutions and enterprises from countries and regions along the Silk Road. Guided by the mission of promoting "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and win-win progress", the alliance is committed to propelling close cooperation among members in personnel training, scientific research, technology extension, people-to-people exchange, policy research, as well to jointly accelerating the progress and development of agricultural education and technology research in countries and regions along the Silk Road through setting up cooperation platform, innovating cooperation mechanism and strengthening resource sharing.

　　SAERIA has its highest decision-making body to be the Alliance General Assembly held every 3-4 years, the regulatory agency to be a permanent council and a routine secretariat set in Northwest A&F University. The permanent council members are 26 institutions including Kazakhstan National Agricultural University, Kyrgyz State Agricultural University, Jordan University, Morocco Lesotho Sulaiman Mudan University, International Arid Regional Agricultural Research Center, Russia Omsk National Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, etc.
