Delegation from Galamogiottinga University Of Science and Technology,Kenya, visited NWAFU

On June 25, Zhao Zhong, deputy secretary of the university party committee, NWAFU, met with Stephen Agong Gaya, President of the Galamogiottinga University Of Science and Technology of  Kenya in the international exchange center. Officials from the international exchange office, the school of humanities and the African studies center attended the meeting.

Zhao zhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Galamozoettinga University Of Science and Technology, pointing out that the university has made outstanding achievements in in the fields of husbandry, zoology and plant breeding. In order to further implement the Belt and Road Initiative and promote the process of internationalization, our university has cooperated with more and more African universities and research institutes.

Stephen Agong Gaya said that the two universities have many similar professional fields and hopes to promote the development of scientific research of the university through substantive cooperation between professors and international exchange of students. Later, the two universities discussed issues such as signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and establishing Confucius institute together.

After the meeting, the two sides signed a letter of intent to jointly establish Confucius institutes, which lays a foundation for promoting the establishment of Confucius institutes overseas of our university. The delegation also visited the African research center of our university and exchanged views with international college on international student recruitment and training.
